It was one of the coldest mornings of 2011, but that didn’t stop more than 20 people with the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office from plunging into the frigid waters of Millerton Lake on Saturday, February 26.
The members of team “Frozen Justice” as they call themselves, made the dive to raise money for Special Olympics.
Supervising Attorney Ralph Kaelble said, “We were all warmed by the thought of the help this will provide such an important and worthwhile program.”
Over the course of several weeks, members collected donations, raising almost $6,000.
“Our staff is constantly encouraged to be of service to the community,” Kaelbel said.
