We are experiencing freezing temperatures this week in the Central Valley region. The Central California Animal Disaster Team offers these important tips to keep your pets healthy, safe and well during the winter weather and if you travel in areas where there is snow.
§ Keep your pets inside - when possible when freezing weather occurs. If you have to take them out, stay outside with them. If it is too cold for you, it is too cold for them.

Valley Oak SPCA is offering 100 free pet microchips on Tuesday, May 7, 5:00-7:00 pm at the Valley Oak SPCA Animal Shelter & Adoption Center, 29016 Highway 99, Visalia.
Be one of the first 100 people at the shelter with your pet and you will receive a Home Again microchip free of charge.
The microchip will be implanted at the time of the event. Limit 2 per household. All pets must be on leashes or in carriers.
