KMPH Fox26 News to Host National Town Hall on Immigration

KMPH Fox26 News has been chosen by its parent company, the Sinclair Broadcast Group, INC, to host a nationally streamed Town Hall meeting on Immigration.  Titled, “Your Voice, Your Future; Immigration in America”, the meeting will air, live, on KFRE CW59 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 18.  It will stream, live, on KMPH.com and other Sinclair websites from 7:00-8:30 p.m. Pacific time on that date.  The meeting will cover a wide range of topics surrounding immigration, including legal and illegal immigration, the legalities, ethics, and effectiveness of Presidential and Congressional efforts to deal with immigration, the tremendous impact immigration has on the Valley’s populace and economy, and other topics submitted by viewers and web users.

Festival of Trees Friday, November 21st

The Tulare Hospital Foundation’s annual winter gala, Festival of Trees is Friday, November 21, 2014, from 5:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at the Heritage Complex in Tulare.

In addition to a unique silent auction, the event highlight is the live auction of beautiful and surprising Christmas trees, donated and decorated by local business and individuals. These remarkable trees will be auctioned after guests have enjoyed an exquisite meal prepared by Fugazzis. Event chair Mary Jane Barwick, along with her committee has designed an extraordinary event to welcome the winter holidays.

One Enchanted Evening!

 One Enchanted Evening is one of Old Town’s most anticipated events! Thousands of people come down to enjoy the old-fashioned holiday open house. This year’s event will be held Thursday, November 20, 2014 from 5 to 8pm.
 
     There will be groups of Carolers to lift your spirits with their holiday songs; hot chocolate made specially by groups of Santa’s elves (aka Bank of the Sierra); and cozy shops wrapped up in their holiday best. Luminaries will light the way through the dark of the night and horse drawn carriage rides add to the magic of this special event.

Free horse-drawn carriage rides, caroling by Gold Note, Jubilation Singers, Ovation Girls Choir, and Voices United. Two for the Road will provide Cowboy and Celtic music.
