Global War On Terrorism Wall of Remembrance Nov. 13-16

Global War On Terrorism Wall of Remembrance Nov. 13-16

Help us Honor Our Fallen Heroes and bring the "Wall of Remembrance" to Clovis, the Wall is a tribute to all the heroes that have made the ultimate sacrifice in the war against terrorism.

The Wall not only honors our Military but also our first responders, Firefighters, Law Enforcement and Emergency Personnel. Currently, there are almost 11,000 names on the wall!

The Wall of Remembrance was created to help heal those hidden wounds. It's mission is to reach all those impacted by Global Terrorism here at home.

The wall will be at Clovis Hills Community Church November 13th through November 16th.

On Saturday, November 15th, there will be a Military Health and Resource Fair from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Clovis Hills Community Church is located at 10590 N. Willow Avenue near Copper Avenue, across from Clovis North High School.

Paint Downtown Hanford Pink September 4th

Paint Downtown Hanford Pink September 4th

The community is invited to help Adventist Health / Breast Care Center “Paint Downtown Pink” during the Thursday Night Market Place on Thursday, Sept. 4.

Everyone is welcome to wear pink and participate in a contest to win prizes and fitness items.

To promote physical activity, contestants will sign up at the Adventist Health booth to receive a pink pedometer. Then, they will be asked to walk for breast cancer awareness by completing 2,500 steps around the Market Place (about a mile and a quarter). Once completed, participants will receive a free gift while supplies last, and will be entered into a drawing to win larger prizes.

Prizes will also be given to the top three Market Place booths displaying pink pride. Meanwhile, the Adventist Health booth will have a fun Facebook photo booth with wacky pink props for walk participants. Images from the photo booth will be posted on the Adventist Health / Central Valley Network page the following day.
